They meet the first and third Thursday each month from 12:00 p.m. to about 3:00.

Mah Jongg is a game played with tiles. The Newcomers group uses the official Standard Hands and Rules of the National Mah Jongg League. Each year a new card comes out with these standard hands that players try to make  with the tiles. The rules are simple, but it is good mental exercise to play.

 If you are new to the game, you could join the group to watch for a while until you are ready to play.
